The well-known Spanish painter Antonio López, painted this painting entitled "My Parents" when he was 20 years old in 1956. A family portrait and training in Madrid and later in Rome, following a classic model almost of a funerary portrait of the old civilizations, where couples were portrayed in bas-reliefs to preserve their faces and gestures.

We can see with this work by Antonio López, that even completely changing his theme, he is a very conservative painter in his ways, lines, shapes, frames, even colors. He has not had an important evolution and has remained very faithful to his techniques, which has allowed him to fully explore them and get enormous success from them.
